Description

This memorandum by Brigadier General A.J. Goodpaster outlined his meeting with President-elect Kennedy in which Goodpaster informed Kennedy of established procedures to be undertaken in the event of a national emergency. The meeting described in the memorandum took place the day before the President-elect’s inauguration.
