Description

The first two pages of this document outline the details of Jerome Wiesner’s  crash program to equip nuclear weapons in the European theater with permissive action links. This section is dated June 6, 1962.

The following five pages include a memorandum to President John F. Kennedy and are dated May 22, 1962. The memorandum includes proposed options for the installation of permissive action link devices for nuclear weapons based in Europe and requests the President’s consideration before moving forward with the program.
